Smoking Status Association with Intention to Vaccination against Coronavirus Disease-2019

Objectives: This paper aimed to examine the association between smoking status and intention get COVID-19 vaccine in a convenience sample of 226 Jordanian adults. Methods: Cross-sectional data on status, vaccination, attitudes toward- fear COVID-19, perceived susceptibility severity were collected. Descriptive comparative correlational bivariate multivariable statistical analyses used. Results: Most subjects female single, with mean age 26.8 years. About 27.9% smokers. Smokers had significantly higher scores vaccination than non-smokers (p=.049). On regression analysis, was not significant predictor, but attitude toward only predictors for vaccination. Conclusion: Although smokers appear have vaccine, variables other such as towards fears may influence people's decisions should be appropriately addressed. Smoking's effect warrants further study.
